격정만리
<지만지한국희곡선집>은 개화기 이후부터 현대까지 문학사와 공연사에 길이 남을 작품을 선정했습니다. 희곡 연구와 창작을 돕고 공연에 활기를 불어넣기를 기대합니다. <격정만리>는 1920년대 말부터 1950년대 초까지 우리 연극사에서 격정에 찬 연극배우들 이야기를 소재로 삼았다. 식민 지배와 분단으로 인한 역사의 비극이 예술가들의 삶에 어떻게 반영되었는지를 그려 내 격동의 세월 속에 사라져 간 광대들의 삶과 예술이 오늘날 우리 연극사에 거대한 뿌리로 존재하고 있음을 보여 준다. 또한 한국 연극사에서 중요한 작품들이 극중극으로 재현되고 있어 그 흐름과 변천사를 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있다.
